Job Title: CPQ Product Owner

Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced CPQ Product Owner with strong technical, hands-on experience to support a CPQ product and engineering team for PANW. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) solutions combined with product ownership capabilities and a technical/development background.
This role is ideal for someone who can effectively bridge the gap between business stakeholders, product teams, and engineering/development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive the CPQ product roadmap, backlog, priorities, and delivery.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical/product solutions.
- Define and prioritize user stories, epics, acceptance criteria, and product requirements.
- Partner with engineering and development teams to design, build, and deliver CPQ capabilities.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance and participate in solution/design discussions.
- Understand CPQ configuration, pricing, product catalog, quoting, approvals, and related business processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Operations, Finance, Engineering, and IT.
- Analyze existing CPQ processes and identify opportunities for optimization and automation.
- Manage product releases, dependencies, risks, and delivery timelines.
- Troubleshoot complex functional and technical issues and work with development teams toward resolution.
- Ensure solutions align with business objectives, scalability, security, and technical standards.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience as a CPQ Product Owner / Technical Product Owner.
- Hands-on technical experience with CPQ platforms and implementations.
- Strong understanding of CPQ processes including:
- Product & Product Catalog Management
- Configuration
- Pricing & Discounting
- Quote Generation
- Approvals & Workflows
- Order/Downstream Integrations
- Development/programming experience preferred.
- Ability to understand technical architecture, APIs, integrations, and system dependencies.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong experience creating and managing product backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working with large-scale enterprise CPQ implementations.
- Software development or engineering background.
- Experience with APIs, integrations, and enterprise applications.
- Experience working closely with sales/commerce platforms and CRM systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
