    Job Summary:
    The Courtroom Technician (CT) is a technical support professional responsible for assisting with courtroom technology, including desktop and laptop systems, audio/video equipment, and remote hearing platforms. This role supports Judicial Branch employees and courtroom participants, ensuring reliable and secure technology operations across court facilities.
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Provide technical support for staff and courtroom participants in person or remotely.
    • Support desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and various operating systems.
    • Set up and maintain audio/video equipment, document cameras, and presentation tools.
    • Support VOIP desk phones and audio listening equipment.
    • Diagnose and resolve tier 1 computer issues and assist with help desk tickets.
    • Host remote video proceedings when required.
    • Install, repair, and replace equipment across Judicial Branch facilities.
    • Maintain hardware inventory including serial numbers, locations, and equipment status.
    • Support systems used for electronic recordkeeping.
    • Assist in drafting technical procedures and documentation.
    • Coordinate with vendors and IT teams for service requests.
    • Assist in delivering IT training to staff.
    • Ensure systems operate securely and reliably.
    Required Experience:
    • Entry-level experience with IT support or related technical field
    • Experience supporting computers, devices, and users in a professional environment
    • Experience diagnosing and resolving tier 1 technical issues
    Nice-to-Have Experience:
    • Experience supporting courtroom or legal environments
    • Multi-platform support experience (Windows, OSX, Android, iOS, etc.)
    • Experience with remote conferencing tools such as Zoom
    Required Skills:
    • Experience with videoconferencing and audiovisual equipment support
    • Basic working knowledge of audio equipment
    • Ability to diagnose and fix tier 1 computer issues
    Preferred Skills:
    • Strong customer service and communication skills
    • Ability to work in high-stress environments
    • Time management and prioritization skills
    • Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
    Additional Skills:
    • Knowledge of VOIP systems and telecommunication tools
    • Familiarity with presentation software and document cameras
    • Ability to communicate technical concepts in layman terms
    • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly
    • Knowledge of hardware inventory management
    • Ability to support multiple operating systems (Windows, OSX, Unix, Android, iOS, etc.)
    • Ability to work independently and escalate issues appropriately
    • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed
