Counter Sales Associate (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing Supplies)

Power-Flo Technologies is looking for a customer-focused Counter Sales Associate with knowledge of electrical products to join our New Hyde Park team!

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday, on-site position. Schedules between 7:00am to 5:00pm.

Salary Range: $17 - $22/hour

Counter Sales Associate Responsibilities :

• Present and sell company products and services to new and existing customers.
• Prospect and contact potential customers.
• Reach agreed upon sales targets by deadlines.
• Resolve customer inquiries and complaints.
• Set follow-up appointments to keep customers aware of the latest developments.
• Create sales material to present to customers.
• Maintain an awareness of all product knowledge, information, and promotions. Suggest alternative or additional product when appropriate.
• Pick and fill orders when appropriate.
• Ensure that orders leaving the warehouse are checked and accompanied by the appropriate documentation.
• Purchase special order material, for customers, as per company procedure. Expedite open orders.
• Process product returns, per company procedure assuring, that all documentation is collected.
• Assist in maintaining the counter and product display area ensuring a safe, clean, and orderly environment.
• Assist warehouse, as needed.

Counter Sales Associate Qualifications :

• Prior relationships with the vendors relevant to our industry/business (Electrical, HVAC, Motors, Plumbing, Pumps, etc.)
• Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields
• Familiarity with CRM platforms
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Strong negotiation skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented.
• A valid and clean driver's license to travel to local vendors as needed.
