Welders Supply & Gases is hiring a Counter Sales and Customer Service Representative at our Elizabethtown, KY location.
We’re looking for a dependable, customer-focused teammate to help customers find the welding supplies, equipment, and gases they need while supporting daily store and warehouse operations.

WHAT YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE
You’ll assist customers at the counter and by phone, process orders, and help keep our store, warehouse, and cylinder dock stocked and organized. Your responsibilities will also include:
- Helping customers purchase and order gases, welding equipment, and industrial supplies
- Understanding customer needs and recommending appropriate products and accessories
- Answering questions, checking order status, and helping resolve customer concerns
- Processing cash and charge-account transactions accurately
- Entering orders and maintaining accurate customer account information
- Processing cylinder purchases, returns, and exchanges
- Receiving incoming stock and picking, packing, and preparing outgoing orders
- Loading and unloading products and gas cylinders
- Keeping shelves stocked, pricing labels accurate, and inventory organized
- Maintaining clean and orderly store, counter, and warehouse areas
- Working with teammates to provide dependable customer service

Customer service, inside sales, or counter sales experience is a plus. Knowledge of welding, gases, or safety supplies is helpful, but industry experience is not required. We will train you!
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This is an active position that combines customer service with warehouse and cylinder-handling duties. You must be able to:
- Frequently lift 50–75 pounds
- Maneuver cylinders weighing more than 100 pounds using proper rolling methods, carts, and other appropriate equipment
- Stand for prolonged periods, up to eight hours

Welders Supply specializes in distributing welding equipment, gases, and supplies. Our priority is service. If a customer has a need, we keep it in stock. Over $2 million worth of equipment and supplies are in stock at all times, and the entire inventory includes over 250 welding machines and 500,000 pounds of various welding filler metals. Welders Supply operates the only full service gas laboratory within a 200 mile radius. The specialty gas division, where the gases are mixed and the cylinders filled, tests the gas mixtures to be sure they fall within specified tolerances of composition and pressure. The precisely controlled and monitored electronic procedure for gas analysis includes chromatograph, infrared, paramagnetic, chemiluminescence, and gravimetric measuring, and technologically sophisticated computerized record keeping.
