Counselor

High Focus Centers in Parsippany is a premier provider of outpatient treatment programs for mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorders. Our highly trained staff create individualized, comprehensive and robust treatment plans designed to meet each client’s treatment goals. At High Focus Centers in Parsippany we are currently seeking a Counselor to join our amazing team of behavioral healthcare professionals providing Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) treatment services to our clients. Our Counselors are responsible for facilitating all clinical services for program as outlined by facility standards and in accordance with clinical philosophy of program.

• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week, flexible scheduling 
• Salary: $52,000/year - $60,000/year (with FREE licensure supervision!)

Here at Parsippany Outpatient, our Counselors:

• Evaluates behavioral, emotional, cognitive, spiritual, and social needs of clients and family members and consults with treatment team regularly for the development of and progress towards treatment goals in accordance with clinical policy and accreditation guidelines.   
• Facilitates all clinical services for clients including individual and family sessions, therapeutic groups, and referral source/ outpatient provider contact as applicable.  
• Responsible for maintaining clinical record for clients with appropriate documentation of clinical services and client program engagement in ECR in accordance with program policy.  
• Provides documentation and support for utilization review in a timely way and participates in UR process as outlined in program policy. 
• Participates in aftercare plan development and outcome data process as applicable.  
• Contributes to program specific curriculum development, literature review, and training in accordance with clinical philosophy.  
• Participates in on call rotation as directed by supervisor and in accordance with program policy. 
• Conduct Level of Care Assessments as required.  
• Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regard to all company information.  
• Completion of all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities.  
• Other duties as assigned. 

 Education/Experience:

• Required: Master's degree in human services or related field
• Required: LSW/LAC/LCSW/LPC (or are in the process of obtaining)
