Job Description:
The Mental Health Therapist provides therapeutic services and care coordination using individual, group, and family approaches based on patient needs. Mental Health Therapists deliver evidence-based behavioral health treatment, conduct assessments, develop individualized service plans, and provide integrated care in collaboration with medical and psychiatric providers. Mental Health Therapists are assigned to age-specific or program-specific specialties and may work in outpatient clinics, school settings, community locations, or specialized teams.
Mental Health Therapists must hold an Associate-Level or Independent-Level license through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners and meet Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) standards, consistent with program requirements.
Job Qualifications:
Education
Master’s degree in counseling, marriage and family therapy, social work, or a related behavioral health field.
Experience in integrated care, school-based services, substance use treatment, or early childhood.
Other Required Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Must pass all pre- and ongoing employment screenings.
Maintain required training, licensure, certifications, and immunizations.
Level I Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
BLS certification required.
TB testing and Hepatitis B screening or declination required.
Must maintain credentials in accordance with Valle del Sol’s Credentialing and Privileging standards.
