Description of Work
The Counselor in Charge is located in the Wilmington Unit (New Hanover County) and is responsible for providing vocational rehabilitation services to eligible individuals with disabilities, supporting them in achieving and maintaining competitive employment. The role manages a high volume of monthly referrals and delivers services in accordance with State, Federal, and Agency policies and guidelines.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Salary Grade Range $50,088 - $87,654
Recruitment Range $50,088 - $72,000
**Position is eligible for a hybrid-teleworking schedule to include weekly onsite work hours**

Master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling or counseling from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience as a rehabilitation counselor; or
Current certification as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor by the Commission of Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC), and two years of experience as a rehabilitation counselor; or
an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Necessary Special Requirement: Successful completion of the agency requirements for independent counselor status.
