Job Title: Part-Time Bilingual Counselor (Spanish-Speaking Required)



Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled bilingual counselor to provide short-term, goal-oriented support to a migrant and transient population. This role focuses on addressing mental health and substance use challenges through culturally responsive care.


Responsibilities


  • Provide brief, solution-focused counseling.
  • Assess and address mental health and substance use concerns.
  • Develop individualized, short-term treatment goals with clients.
  • Conduct intake assessments to understand clients’ needs, histories, and goals using standardized diagnostic tools and medical terminology.
  • Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clients’ diagnoses.
  • Collaborate with the clinic team and industry partners to best meet the needs of the clients.
Qualifications


  • Bilingual - Fluent Spanish speaking
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field; licensure or certification preferred.
  • Relevant certification, licensure, or working toward licensure preferred
  • Proven experience in mental health counseling within outpatient or inpatient settings
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health assessments and diagnostic evaluation
  • Familiarity with working with migrant, transient, or underserved populations preferred
  • Experience with crisis management techniques and behavior management strategies for diverse populations
Schedule:


  • Part-time: 4–6 hours per week
  • Flexible schedule Monday - Friday
