Position Summary

Counsel of Cyber Claims is responsible for the handling, management, and oversight of complex primary and excess Cyber Claims. The position reports to the Head of Cyber Claims.

Required Qualifications

• Manage and handle complex Cyber claims including verifying coverage, conducting investigations, evaluating liability and damages, and developing resolution strategies
• Ensure all claims are managed in accordance with claims department service standards
• Set appropriate and timely reserves
• Assist underwriters with prospective business opportunities
• Work with attorneys, brokers, and insureds regarding the handling and resolution of complex claims
• Prepare reports on potential exposure for company management
• Develop and maintain relationships with business-specific vendors, including incident response vendors, defense and coverage attorneys

Additional Qualifications

• 3 - 5 years of relevant claims experience
• JD degree preferred
• Superior analytical abilities
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

Compensation $120k+ (based on experience) plus bonus
