Job Summary
We are looking for a Costing Engineer with strong experience in product costing, should-cost analysis, DFM/DFA, VA/VE, and manufacturing processes. The candidate will work closely with Design and Engineering teams to develop cost targets and identify opportunities for product cost reduction.

Location: Fond du Lac, WI
Key Responsibilities
- Develop cost targets and should-cost models for mechanical and electrical components.
- Analyze designs using DFM/DFA and recommend cost-effective design improvements.
- Work with Engineering on Design-to-Target activities during early product development.
- Perform costing for castings, stampings, extrusions, injection molding, harnesses, PCBs/PCBAs, motors, and batteries.
- Conduct competitive benchmarking and teardown analysis.
- Support VA/VE and cost-reduction initiatives for existing products.
- Prepare cost analysis and reports to support supplier negotiations.
- Track product costs, risks, opportunities, and provide regular updates to management.
- Maintain and provide cost information across Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Finance, and other teams.
Required Qualifications
- 7 10 years of relevant industry experience in Cost Engineering/Product Costing.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with BDI, aPriori, or similar costing software.
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering/manufacturing drawings.
- Experience working with BOMs (Bill of Materials).
- Practical knowledge of VA/VE techniques and cost-reduction methodologies.
- Working knowledge of 3D CAD software, preferably Creo.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%.
