    Job Title: Costing Engineer
    Location: Fond du Lac, WI
    Work Arrangement: Onsite
    Experience Level: 7 10 Years
    Pay rate: $30-$33/hr on W2

    Skills: DFM/DFA, VA/VE, and Design-to-Target DFM/DFA analysis, VA/VE opportunities, and cost targets BoMs

    Job Summary:
    Seeking a Costing Engineer to support new product development and cost reduction initiatives. The role will develop should-cost models, DFM/DFA analysis, VA/VE opportunities, and cost targets for mechanical and electrical components.
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop cost targets for castings, stampings, extrusions, injection-molded parts, harnesses, PCBs, motors, and batteries.
    • Perform should-cost analysis, benchmarking, and teardown analysis for supplier negotiations.
    • Apply DFM/DFA, VA/VE, and Design-to-Target methodologies.
    • Review CAD models, engineering drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing processes.
    • Identify cost-reduction opportunities for new and existing products.
    • Provide monthly cost tracking, project updates, risks, and opportunities to management.
    • Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Finance, and other teams.
    Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
    • 7 10 years of relevant industry experience.
    • Experience with BDI, A-priori, or similar costing software.
    • Strong understanding of manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and 3D CAD; Creo preferred.
    • Hands-on experience with VA/VE and should-cost analysis.
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
