TRC Talent Solutions is partnering with our client on an exciting Project Cost Analyst Role!
This individual contributor role serves as a trusted advisor to project leadership and client executives, ensuring project funds are managed effectively, contractual requirements are met, and budgets are optimized throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate is a proactive cost management professional with deep Procore expertise, strong executive presence, and a proven ability to identify cost savings opportunities while maintaining complete visibility into project financial performance through attention to detail and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Budget Ownership & Financial Stewardship
Own and manage the entire project budget from project initiation through completion.
Act as a steward of budgets ranging from $1B-$1.5B+ for both soft and hard cost of projects
Monitor project financial performance and ensure responsible spending across all project categories and vendors (GC's, Consultants etc.)
Drive cost optimization initiatives and identify opportunities for cost savings throughout the project lifecycle.
Procore Administration & Reporting
Serve as the subject matter expert for all project financial activities within Procore.
Set up project budgets and maintain financial controls within Procore.
Generate and analyze weekly financial reports, dashboards, and project cost updates.
Leverage Procore reporting capabilities to identify budget concerns, cost overruns, trends, and savings opportunities.
Manage financial visibility across project stakeholders through accurate and timely reporting.
Change Management & Cost Controls
Review, validate, negotiate, and manage change orders throughout the project lifecycle.
Evaluate financial impacts of project changes and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
Monitor hard costs, soft costs, consultant fees, design partners, general contractors, and specialty vendors.
Review and approve invoices and pay applications while maintaining strict budget controls.
Partner closely with General Contractors and project teams to ensure spending aligns with project objectives.
Forecasting, Analytics & Schedule Impact Evaluation
Prepare and deliver weekly financial status reports and executive presentations.
Provide project forecasting, cash flow analysis, and budget-to-actual reporting.
Required Qualifications:
5-8 years of experience in Cost Management, Project Controls, Construction Cost Management, Owner's Representative, Project Accounting, Cost Analysis, or related disciplines.
Expert-level proficiency with Procore Financial Management, including budget setup, financial tracking, reporting, invoice management, and change order administration.
Demonstrated experience owning and managing high spend project budget of $1B+
Proven experience managing both hard cost and soft cost budgets throughout the full project lifecycle.
