Cost Accountant

They are looking for a cost accountant to join their team and assist as a liaison between the accounting and production team to ensure they are efficiently tracking their inventory and staying on budget. * Generate monthly inventory reports, prior month comparisons, trend, quarantine, offsite, summary, MOH reports - usage and open purchase history.

Shift: 7-3, Monday - Friday

Our client creates custom liquid and solid paints and finishes to assist with a wide range of industries, including automotive, leather, wood, and metal. They are looking for a cost accountant to join their team and assist as a liaison between the accounting and production team to ensure they are efficiently tracking their inventory and staying on budget.

* Review and analyze inventory activity, movements, batch closings, etc. to ensure accuracy
* Calculate and maintain Labor and Manufacturing rates for product costing
* Coordinate with production supervisors and plant manager to oversee tabulating ticket count, entry into summary spreadsheets and entry into ERP software.
* Generate monthly inventory reports, prior month comparisons, trend, quarantine, offsite, summary, MOH reports - usage and open purchase history


Must have a college degree in accounting, business management or related field
Must have 5+ years of cost accounting experience
Must have a working knowledge of accounting principles and computerized spreadsheets
