Cost Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to support financial reporting, inventory management, profitability analysis, and strategic decision-making within a manufacturing environment. This role will work closely with operations, production, and finance teams to ensure accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and financial reporting while supporting continuous process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

·Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs to ensure accurate product costing and profitability reporting.

·Conduct customer pricing reviews and provide recommendations to support margin and pricing objectives.

·Perform variance analysis by comparing standard costs to actual costs and investigating discrepancies.

·Monitor inventory valuation and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.

·Review and analyze obsolete and slow-moving inventory, providing recommendations for reserves and write-downs.

·Support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, inventory analysis, and financial reporting.
