Compensation: $120,000–$150,000 base salary (DOE)Position SummaryReporting to the Director of Inventory Accounting, the Cost Accountant is responsible for cost analysis, inventory accounting, absorption and standard costing , manufacturing variance analysis, month-end close support, and operational reporting. The role partners closely with factory and operations teams to support decision-making and margin improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and process standard cost transactions for materials, labor, and overhead.Manage and analyze absorption costing methodologies , including the allocation of labor and overhead costs to inventory and cost of goods sold.Analyze and resolve manufacturing cost variances.Develop and maintain product costing for new products.Prepare monthly KPI reporting and profitability analysis.Analyze COGS, inventory turns, BOMs, gross margins, and manufacturing performance.Manage Duty Drawback processes and reporting.Support month-end close and inventory accounting activities.Participate in annual audit support and compliance activities.Partner with manufacturing and operations teams to improve costing accuracy and operational performance.Support strategic finance projects and ad hoc analysis.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.CPA or CMA preferred.5+ years of cost accounting experience.Manufacturing and inventory accounting experience strongly preferred.Strong understanding of absorption costing, standard costing , inventory accounting, variance analysis, cost management, and margin analysis.Advanced Excel skills.ERP experience required.Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience preferred.Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.#J-18808-Ljbffr
