K&S Manufacturing is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Cost Accountant to join our team. This role is responsible for analyzing manufacturing costs, maintaining accurate cost records, and supporting financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, proficient in excel, and prior experience in a manufacturing environment. Additionally, a willingness to work closely with production teams on the manufacturing floor. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and analyze product costing and manufacturing cost data. Monitor and analyze material, labor, and overhead costs to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Prepare and review cost reports, inventory valuations, and variance analyses. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes related to inventory and cost accounting. Reconcile inventory accounts and investigate discrepancies. Collaborate with production, engineering, purchasing, and operations teams to understand manufacturing processes and cost drivers. Participate in physical inventory counts and cycle count programs. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Assist with maintaining accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and cost standards.
