Position Summary: The Cosmetic Product Coordinator supports the development, management, and promotion of medical-grade skincare and cosmetic products within a dermatology clinic. This role ensures all products align with clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and the clinic's brand, while contributing to a seamless patient and retail experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the selection, ordering, and inventory management of cosmetic and skincare products used and sold in the clinic
- Collaborate with dermatologists, medical staff, and vendors to evaluate product efficacy, safety, and suitability for patients
- Ensure all products meet regulatory and labeling requirements, including ingredient transparency and compliance standards
- Maintain accurate product records, including formulations, usage guidelines, and supplier information
- Assist in the development and execution of product launches, promotions, and in-clinic merchandising displays
- Train staff on product knowledge, usage, and key selling points to support patient education and retail sales
- Monitor product performance, patient feedback, and sales trends to inform future product decisions
- Coordinate with marketing teams to support campaigns, educational materials, and promotional events
- Manage product samples and support patient consultations with appropriate recommendations
Education:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Performance Requirements:
- Minimum two years' experience in a cosmetic and/or medical dermatology office.
- Experience working on electronic medical records.
- Cosmetics sales experience is a plus.
- Quality written and verbal communication skills.
- Quality mathematics skills.
- Knowledgeable of medical and cosmetic dermatology terms.
- Professional in appearance and mannerisms.
- Able to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others, patients and co-workers alike.
- Able to prioritize tasks, understand the provider's instructions, and know when to seek information or advice.
- Prior experience assisting cosmetics customers and/or patients with services or products.

Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
Physical Requirements: Must possess manual dexterity to operate office machines including computer and calculator; stooping and bending to handle files and supplies; and mobility to complete errands or deliveries. Includes handling of sharps and chemicals.
