Shift Details:Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Duties & Responsibilities:
Assess patients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide individual and group counseling using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and treatment outcomes.
Conduct crisis intervention, suicide risk assessments, and behavioral health evaluations as needed.
Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, social workers, and correctional staff to coordinate care.
Educate patients on coping skills, behavioral health conditions, treatment goals, and available resources.
Respond promptly to mental health crises, behavioral concerns, and changes in patient condition.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with Virginia DOC policies, confidentiality standards, professional ethics, and security procedures.
Provide compassionate, patient-centered behavioral health services while promoting safety, rehabilitation, and positive outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
Current, valid, and unrestricted VA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
Minimum of 1+ year within the last 3 years of recent experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor
Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents
