Shift Details:Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Duties & Responsibilities:
Assess patients' psychosocial, behavioral, and mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide individual and group counseling to address emotional, behavioral, and social concerns.
Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and treatment outcomes.
Conduct crisis intervention, suicide risk assessments, and behavioral health evaluations as needed.
Collaborate with physicians, psychiatrists, nurses, counselors, and correctional staff to coordinate patient care.
Assist patients with coping strategies, problem-solving skills, discharge planning, and access to community resources.
Provide support for substance use, trauma, family concerns, and other psychosocial needs.
Respond promptly to mental health crises and significant changes in patient behavior or condition.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with Virginia DOC policies, confidentiality standards, professional ethics, and security procedures.
Provide compassionate, patient-centered social work services while promoting safety, rehabilitation, and positive outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
Current, valid, and unrestricted VA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
Minimum of 1+ year within the last 3 years of recent experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents
