Measure and record patients' vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration, urine intake and output, and food intake and output, reporting any drastic changes to a nurse or physician. Provide patients comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients' call lights and requests; and reporting observations of the patient to nursing staff.

Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to work at a facility in Beaumont, VA. These are registry positions with our company.

Pay Rate: $25 / hour
*W2

Shifts Available:

• days 7a-7:30p

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least one year (12 months) of previous working experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant
• Must have up to date credentials in the state of VA
• A valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association)
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Compassionate and caring demeanor
• Familiarity with medical terminology

Duties:

• Answer patients' calls and determine how to assist them.
• Measure and record patients' vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration, urine intake and output, and food intake and output, reporting any drastic changes to a nurse or physician.
• Provide basic patient care and treatments, such as feeding, changing soiled garments and giving massages.
• Help patients with bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, moving in bed, standing, and walking.
• Reposition and turn bed bound patients; assist those who need help walking or assistance transporting in wheelchairs.
• Provide patients comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients' call lights and requests; and reporting observations of the patient to nursing staff.
• Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
• Protects organization's value by keeping patient information confidential.
• Serves and protects the facility by adhering to professional standards, facility policies and procedures; federal, state, and local requirements; and JCAHO standards, where applicable.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and maintaining certification.
• Work as part of a healthcare team to assess patient needs, plan and modify care.
• Serve food trays and examine them for conformance to prescribed diet.
• Apply compresses, ice bags and hot water bottles as directed by nursing supervisor.
• Keep rooms clean and change soiled bedding and bedpans.
• Transport medical equipment in and out of rooms according to patient requirements.
• Inventory and requisition supplies.
• Make appointments, keep records and perform other clerical duties in doctors' offices and clinics.
• Maintains compliance and complies with annual requirements
• Successfully completes required employment-related documentation, testing, and screenings in a timely manner
