The Corrections Agriculture Beef Program Supervisor oversees the Wyoming Honor Farm's beef cattle operation, including herd production, breeding, calving, feeding, livestock health, grazing, and range management. This position supervises and trains an offender work crew performing daily livestock and agricultural duties. Responsibilities include planning and assigning work, teaching proper animal-handling and agricultural practices, monitoring safety and security, maintaining operational records, and ensuring the humane and efficient care of the livestock. This position reports to the Agricultural Program Manager.
The Wyoming Honor Farm (WHF) is a minimum-custody facility located one mile north of Riverton, Wyoming, housing approximately 300 adult male offenders. Established in 1931, WHF has operated agricultural programs since 1988. These programs play an integral role in rehabilitation by providing offenders with opportunities to develop teamwork, patience, responsibility, and respect through the daily care and handling of animals.
