Correctional Officer

Title: Correctional Officer 

Duration: Long Term (6-12 + months)

Pay rate: $24.98/hr. on w2 without benefits  

Shift Timing: Monday To Friday (8am  to 5pm)

Description:

• Maintains Custody and Control of Patients In a Custodial Security Setting for Adults or
• Performs Related Special Assignments; and Performs Other Duties as Required.
• To Monitor and Participate In Activities With Patients. Provide Safe, Therapeutic
• Environment While Maintaining Custody and Control of Patients.
• To Operate the Control Panel In Accordance With Sop. Provide Escort/Security for
• Patients and Staff During Clinical and Recreational Functions.
• Actively Participate In Behavioral Program Planning and Implementation. Cooperate
• With All Disciplines to Achieve Maximum Safety and Therapeutic Benefit.
• Verbally or Physically Intervene In Hostile Situations. Provide Pertinent Info. for
• Patient's Medical Charts. Provide Reports on and Notify Supervisors of Incidents.
• Conduct & Report Accurate Counts at Assigned Times.
• Observe and Assist In the Distribution of Medications.
• Conduct Searches In Appropriate Manner Consistent With Training. to Encourage and Assist In All Aspects of Patient Hygiene.
• Monitor All Radio/Telephone Communications and Effectively US Both. to Perform Any and All Special Duties Assigned by the Supervisor.
• The temp would be Frequently communicating in person or by other means of technologies
• This position is deemed essential and has been designated for mandatory operations by the Appointing Authority; therefore, the incumbent is not eligible for Adverse Weather Leave.

Requirements: 

• A valid driver's license
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Have a high school diploma/GED. 
• Required background check (felonies and certain misdemeanors will disqualify
• candidates) and drug screen that includes marijuana and CBD.
