    Job Title: Correctional Healthcare Program/Contract Manager
    Location: Don a Ana County, New Mexico
    Employment Type: Full-Time
    Work Setting: Correctional Healthcare / Detention Center
    Reports To: Corporate Operations Leadership
    Position Summary
    The Correctional Healthcare Program/Contract Manager will provide administrative and operational oversight for the medical, mental health, dental, and ancillary healthcare services provided at the Don a Ana County Detention Center (DACDC). The position will serve as a primary liaison with DACDC leadership and ensure contract requirements, staffing, quality assurance, reporting, compliance, and performance requirements are consistently achieved.
    The position must be able to reside full-time in New Mexico and maintain close proximity to the DACDC facility to support effective administrative and quality assurance oversight.
    Key Responsibilities
    • Oversee day-to-day contract performance and operational compliance.
    • Serve as a primary point of contact between the Contractor and DACDC.
    • Coordinate implementation, transition, staffing, and service delivery.
    • Monitor staffing levels, vacancies, credentialing, and personnel compliance.
    • Coordinate with the Health Services Administrator, Medical Director, Director of Nursing, and behavioral health leadership.
    • Monitor contract performance measures, corrective actions, and quality improvement activities.
    • Prepare and review required reports for DACDC.
    • Coordinate audits, inspections, accreditation activities, and corrective action plans.
    • Support NCCHC, ACA, PREA, New Mexico, County, and applicable federal compliance requirements.
    • Coordinate with the New Mexico Department of Health and other community partners.
    • Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure subcontractors meet contractual requirements.
    • Support grievance management, incident reporting, and risk management.
    • Assist with emergency preparedness and continuity-of-operations activities.
    • Ensure timely communication and resolution of operational issues.
    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, public administration, or related field preferred.
    • Minimum 5 years of healthcare operations, correctional healthcare, healthcare contract management, or comparable experience.
    • Experience managing healthcare services in a secure, correctional, detention, or institutional environment preferred.
    • Demonstrated experience with staffing, quality assurance, compliance, and contract performance.
    • Strong communication, leadership, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work effectively with correctional/security personnel and clinical professionals.
    • Ability to obtain required facility clearance and successfully complete required background screening.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Correctional healthcare management experience.
    • Experience with NCCHC and/or ACA standards.
    • Experience with PREA compliance.
    • Experience managing government healthcare contracts.
    • Experience with electronic health records and healthcare reporting systems.
    • Experience coordinating federal detainee healthcare requirements.
