Corporate Tax DirectorLos Angeles, California 90071 (Hybrid – Minimum 3 Days Per Week in Office or at Client Site)Full TimeAs a Corporate Tax Director, you will lead Grant Thornton's Corporate Tax Solutions practice by managing complex corporate tax compliance, business income tax planning, and ASC 740 income tax accounting engagements for large national and multinational clients. You will oversee multiple engagement teams, drive business development, mentor tax professionals, expand client relationships, and contribute to the firm's strategic growth while positioning yourself for advancement to Partner or Managing Director.
Key Responsibilities
Lead multiple corporate tax engagements from planning through completion.
Oversee corporate income tax compliance and consulting engagements.
Lead complex ASC 740 income tax provision preparation, review, and audit support.
Conduct primary and secondary review of complex corporate tax returns.
Supervise multiple client service teams.
Mentor, coach, and develop Managers, Senior Managers, and staff.
Manage engagement profitability, realization, utilization, leverage, and budgets.
Build and strengthen executive-level client relationships.
Drive business development and achieve revenue growth targets.
Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships.
Represent the firm at professional and community events.
Research complex federal, state, and international tax matters.
Coordinate with Washington National Tax Office (WNTO).
Respond to IRS and State taxing authority matters.
Maintain the highest professional and ethical standards.
Travel as required.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

7+ years progressive Corporate Tax experience
Director, Senior Manager, or Manager experience in Public Accounting
