About this position
We are looking for a highly skilled, motivated, and innovative Corporate Services Consultant. You will work in the Services to the Board, Committees and Management Section (SEC/STB), which is part of the Office of the Secretary (SEC) of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). You will contribute to the decision-making process of the IDB Group's Boards and Committees by supporting the preparation of official records of their deliberations and decisions, including drafting minutes, summaries, and reports. In addition, you will support the review and preparations of Board and Committee records for publication on the Bank's website, ensuring compliance with applicable disclosure policies and procedures.
SEC/STB provides coordination, secretariat services, and administrative support to the IDB Group's executive decision-making bodies, including the IDB and IIC Boards of Governors and their committees, the IDB and IIC Boards of Executive Directors and their committees, the MIF Donors Committee, and IDB Management committees.

What you'll need
Education: Bachelor's degree in law, political science, economics, public policy, international relations, linguistics, journalism, or communications, and/or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
Experience:
2 years of progressive experience in multilateral development organizations or public sector experience in one of our 48-member countries will be valued.
Preference will be given to knowledge related to access to information and transparency policies or frameworks.
Experience with drafting concise summaries of meeting deliberations, statements, and technical documents under tight deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with senior staff and Board members.
Discretion to manage confidential and sensitive information.
Attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team and work well under pressure with flexibility and a cooperative attitude.
Understanding of the IDB's governance, policies, institutional priorities, and business model would be a plus.
Languages: Proficiency in English and Spanish, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.
