POSITION OVERVIEW

The Corporate Risk and Insurance Specialist is a developing Individual Contributor in the Data and Risk Insurance function responsible for independently managing corporate risk data, insurance documentation, and exposure analysis at Jackson Healthcare. This role administers certificates of insurance programs, coordinates insurance policy renewals, and produces risk reports with minimal supervision. The Corporate Risk and Insurance Specialist serves as a reliable point of contact for internal business units and external brokers on routine risk and insurance matters, and partners with leadership and the Corporate Risk and Insurance Specialist on shared program data.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Risk Data Management & Analysis

• Responsible for owning and maintaining the enterprise risk management information system (RMIS), ensuring data integrity for property, casualty, and liability exposures across all JH operating companies.
• Collect, validate, and consolidate exposure data from business units for insurance renewal submissions, including property schedules, vehicle fleets, and headcount data.
• Conduct data quality reviews, identify discrepancies, and coordinate corrections with business stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting.
• Produce routine risk metrics, exposure summaries, and loss trend reports to support the enterprise risk function.
• Assists with developing and maintaining TCOR calculations.

Insurance Program Administration

• Identifies process improvement and assist with oversight of certificate of insurance issuance and tracking program; verify coverage compliance for vendors, contractors, and tenants.
• Coordinate insurance policy renewal activities, including compiling renewal applications, gathering loss runs, and liaising with brokers on information requests.
• Checks policy forms, endorsement and deletions to ensure accurate policy documentation files and identifies coverage gaps.
• Monitor renewal timelines and proactively communicate status updates to leadership and relevant stakeholders.
• Assist with renewal placements and assessing coverage.
• Reviews company contracts to align with Insurance Products and minimize contractual risk to company.
• Identify trends in claim frequency or severity and report observations to leadership.
• Supports captive function and actuarial analysis process.

Risk Reporting & Process Improvement

• Develop and distribute scheduled risk reports covering exposure, claims, and insurance program metrics.
• Identify process improvement opportunities in risk data workflows and recommend enhancements to the team.
• Provide support for special projects and risk assessments assigned by leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS

REQUIRED

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• 3 - 5 years of progressive experience in risk management, insurance administration, or a related field required.
• Demonstrated experience managing certificate of insurance programs and coordinating insurance renewals required.
• Proficiency in risk management information systems (RMIS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required.
• Experience with claims tracking and loss run analysis required.

PREFERRED

• Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC)or CPCU designation preferred Experience working in a multi-entity or corporate shared-services risk environment preferred.
• Familiarity with property, casualty, and liability insurance policy structures and coverage terms preferred.

Technical Skills: Demonstrates solid working knowledge of core risk and insurance systems. Independently completes standard technical tasks and applies best practices. Troubleshoots routine issues in risk data, coverage tracking, and claims processing.

Problem-Solving & Innovation: Handles problems of a moderate scope requiring a review of a variety of innovative factors. Applies Company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues; identifies the most effective path to resolution.

Quality & Decision-Making: Optimal results are submitted with fewer corrections. Management will oversee work to identify areas of improvement. Exercises judgment within defined procedures for best results, balancing accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.

Communication: Effective communication builds productive internal and external working relationships. Clearly conveys risk information, insurance status, and claims updates to business partners, carriers, and internal stakeholders.

Teamwork & Mentorship: Receives little instruction on daily work and new assignments and engages with the team. Collaborates with cross-functional partners including legal, finance, HR, and business units to advance risk objectives.

Professional Development: Has a broad range of expertise and understanding of the Company's objectives. Pursues industry certifications, professional development programs, and emerging risk management knowledge to advance expertise.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

• Up to 5% travel may be required for broker meetings or site visits.
