Position Summary

The Corporate Procurement Manager (CPM) is responsible for managing the daily procurement of vehicles from dealers and sellers, ensuring that the vehicles purchased align with dealership needs and business objectives. This role involves coordinating with internal leadership, appraising vehicles, overseeing purchase agreements, managing logistics, and ensuring accurate documentation and timely delivery of vehicles for resale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and review daily vehicle buy lists from dealers and sellers.

  • Identify vehicles best suited for dealership needs and collaborate directly with purchasing dealers, General Managers (GM), General Sales Managers (GSM), Used Car Managers (UCM), or other decision-makers.

  • Appraise identified vehicles and submit bids directly to sellers.

  • Negotiate purchase terms and oversee the creation of purchase agreements (PAs).

  • Ensure timely payment processing for purchase agreements and coordinate with accounting/finance as needed.

  • Arrange vehicle transport and oversee compliance.

  • Record all sales and purchases and ensure accurate creation and issuance of titles.

  • Manage timelines for vehicle pickup and transport.

  • Coordinate with selling parties to obtain start-up photos for marketing purposes prior to vehicle arrival.

  • Oversee vehicle reconditioning (Recon) and ensure vehicles are listed for sale promptly.
