Job Details

Job Duties
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, agreements, and internal policies.
  • Maintain corporate records, including minute books, resolutions, and regulatory filings.
  • Coordinate with outside counsel to facilitate communication, manage case activity, and support efficient resolution of legal matters.
  • Assist with product-related claims, personal injury matters, and litigation.
  • Support responses to lawsuits by preparing legal documentation, organizing evidence, and coordinating discovery materials.
  • Track claims, litigation matters, and critical deadlines to ensure timely follow-up and compliance.
  • Assist with intellectual property matters, including trademark, copyright, and patent portfolio management.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare summaries regarding applicable laws, regulations, and industry practices.
  • Support corporate compliance initiatives and monitor regulatory developments that may affect business operations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to collect information, documentation, and other materials needed for legal matters.
  • Provide administrative support to the legal function, including scheduling, correspondence, and document management.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Identify opportunities to improve legal processes, documentation, and internal workflows.

Job Requirements
  • Paralegal certificate or associate degree in Paralegal Studies from an accredited institution. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of paralegal experience, ideally within a corporate legal department or law firm supporting commercial, retail, or consumer products businesses.
  • Working knowledge of corporate governance, contract administration, intellectual property, and litigation procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as legal research platforms.
  • Familiarity with legal document management or case management software is a plus.
