About The Role
Summary:
The Corporate Network Engineer III is a key contributor in designing, implementing, maintaining and supporting the enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, security, and performance. This position plays a key role in the work effort for the installation of routers, switches, access points, firewalls, collaboration equipment and third-party application hardware and software. The Network Engineer III is a subject matter expert for multiple network technologies and a source of reference for other network engineers.
This role will implement, support, and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, include the implementation and design of hardware and software and participating in efforts to set IT network/video/voice architecture and standards ensuring solutions are compliant and meet GBCI IT standards.
This position collaborates with Enterprise Architecture, the Network Team Lead, vendors, and service providers to architect, design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure solutions to support the GBCI business requirements.
This position will exercise discretion and independent judgment in the design and implementation of the architecture, development, testing, documentation, and support of key network solutions.

The entry rate for this position is $98,243.80 + /year (calculated for Kalispell, MT). All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, years of experience, and educational background.

Experience with any of the following: Cisco, Brocade, or Juniper switching, routing, wireless, video, and firewall hardware. Routing protocols, specifically BGP, OSPF and diagnosing and troubleshooting network issues and outages. TCP/IP packet analysis, using Wireshark or raw packet captures using tcpdump. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with logical problem solving from Layer 1 through Layer 7 of the OSI model. Telecommunications industry experience highly preferred.

Working knowledge of 802.11 and Wi-Fi security methods.
Working knowledge of MPLS, VLANs, VTP, and STP.
IPsec, SSL, and remote access VPN solutions.
IP addressing understanding. DNS, DHCP, SNMP, Radius, and other network based services.
Network security best practices.
Azure VPN, virtual firewall, and networking knowledge.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Starting salary is dependent upon relevant experience and may vary based on the geographic location of the position.
