$235,000 – $390,000+

Aligned Talent Acquisition is recruiting for an experienced Corporate M&A / Private Equity Associate Attorney opportunity with a leading Am Law 100 firm in Chicago.

This is an excellent opportunity for a corporate associate interested in sophisticated mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, strategic investments, and general corporate matters for private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, strategic buyers and sellers, and other sophisticated clients.

Ideal Background

• 2–6 years of sophisticated corporate transactional experience

• Significant experience with mergers and acquisitions and/or private equity transactions

• Experience representing private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, strategic buyers and sellers, and other corporate clients

• Experience with leveraged buyouts, add-on acquisitions, dispositions, strategic investments, joint ventures, and other complex transactions

• Experience drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, merger agreements, operating agreements, shareholder agreements, and ancillary transaction documents

• Experience conducting and managing legal due diligence and coordinating transactions through closing

• Experience advising clients on general corporate and governance matters is a plus

• Ability to manage multiple sophisticated transactions in a fast-paced environment

• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent client service and communication skills

• Strong academic credentials

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

• Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admitted
