    Company Description

    We're representing a dynamic law firm strategically expanding its Corporate & M&A practice in Downtown Los Angeles. This company is looking for an entrepreneurial partner-level attorney to build and grow a corporate platform within a nationally recognized firm, diversifying its historically litigation-focused practice to establish a stronger corporate presence in the Southern California market.

    What You Will Do

    • Originate, manage, and execute M&A transactions and corporate matters for middle-market companies.
    • Lead buy-side and sell-side transactions, leveraging a portable book of business.
    • Advise private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies on various corporate matters.
    • Supervise and mentor associates and deal teams to enhance overall practice efficiency.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with litigation, regulatory, finance, and real estate partners across multiple offices.
    • Actively contribute to business development and cross-selling initiatives to expand the firm's corporate footprint in the Los Angeles market.

    Ideal Candidate Background

    • J.D. from an accredited law school with active membership in good standing with the California Bar (or ability to waive in).
    • 15+ years of corporate transactional experience with a demonstrated portable book of business of at least $1.5 million.
    • Meaningful working attorney collections, ideally ~$1M+ personally billed.
    • Significant experience handling middle-market M&A transactions and a proven history of originating and maintaining client relationships.
    • Ability to independently manage complex deal processes.

    Preferred

    • Portable book exceeding $2 million and experience representing private equity funds and sponsors.
    • Ability to bring an associate or junior partner to the firm.
    • Industry focus in sectors such as healthcare, technology, life sciences, manufacturing, or consumer products.
    • Cross-border transactional experience and a demonstrated growth trajectory in business development.

    Compensation and Benefits

    The base salary for this role ranges from $400K to $750K, reflecting the seniority and expertise required. This company offers a competitive benefits package designed to support the well-being and professional growth of its attorneys.
