    Position Summary
    A professional services organization is seeking a Legal Support Specialist to provide high-level administrative and legal support to a team of attorneys. This role involves delivering a wide range of complex technical, document processing, and administrative services within a designated practice group or department.

    The successful candidate will manage day-to-day responsibilities for assigned attorneys while serving as a point of coordination with clients and internal teams. Flexibility to work overtime as needed is required.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Coordinate the creation, editing, proofreading, and processing of legal documents, including correspondence, memoranda, closing documents, pleadings, and other practice-specific materials
    • Maintain and organize legal files (both physical and electronic) in accordance with established systems
    • Update case information and manage document scanning and filing
    • Track document deliveries and monitor final executed documents
    • Handle incoming calls for supported attorneys, including screening, routing, and message management
    • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other stakeholders
    • Collaborate with administrative staff, paralegals, and other legal support team members
    • Participate in team meetings and planning sessions
    • Utilize available resources effectively to complete tasks and meet deadlines
    • Assist with overflow work and special projects as assigned

    • Proficiency in administrative tasks such as time entry, travel coordination, and expense processing
    • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management abilities
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
    • Demonstrated discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

    Education & Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a law firm or professional services environment
    • Experience with electronic filing (e-filing) systems

    Technology
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Familiarity with document management systems and office technologies
    • Knowledge of legal procedures, court systems, and filing requirements (including state and federal e-filing)
