Role Summary

The CorporateDirector of Wellness is responsible for advancing and elevating AKA's wellness brand pillar through the strategic development, execution, and growth of wellness partnerships, programming, experiences, and activations across the portfolio. This leader will identify emerging wellness trends, innovations, and technologies to ensure AKA remains at the forefront of luxury hospitality and wellness.

Working collaboratively with Operations, Marketing, Food & Beverage, and external partners, the Director of Wellness will create and curate impactful experiences that enhance the resident and guest journey, strengthen community engagement, and support the brand's vision of luxury, wellbeing, and meaningful social connection.

 

Key Responsibilities

Wellness Strategy & Leadership

  • Lead the vision, strategy, development, and execution of AKA's wellness platform across all properties.
  • Develop and implement innovative wellness initiatives that drive engagement, enhance the guest experience, and strengthen AKA's market position as a leader in hospitality wellness.
  • Continuously monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to identify opportunities for new programming, partnerships, and guest experiences.
  • Establish performance metrics and evaluate program effectiveness to ensure alignment with brand objectives and business goals.
  • Develop and manage budgets, financial models, and business cases to support wellness initiatives and maximize return on investment.

Partnerships & Brand Development

  • Establish, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships with leading wellness brands, practitioners, experts, and influencers.
  • Serve as the primary owner of wellness-related alliances, ensuring partnerships align with AKA's luxury brand standards and wellness philosophy.
  • Identify opportunities for co-branded experiences, thought leadership, and exclusive member, resident, and guest offerings.

Wellness Programming & Experiences

  • Curate and oversee a year-round calendar of wellness programming, activations, and experiences across wellness, culinary, lifestyle, and cultural categories.
  • Design and promote exclusive wellness touchpoints, including workshops, classes, retreats, speaker series, and collaborative events that reinforce AKA's position within the luxury wellness hospitality space.
  • Cultivate engaging experiences that foster wellbeing, social connection, and community among residents, guests, and members.
  • Leverage wellness amenities, services, and partnerships to enhance the overall value proposition of the AKA experience.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing and Public Relations teams to develop compelling wellness campaigns, storytelling, content, and brand activations.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Food & Beverage, and property leadership teams to seamlessly integrate wellness into the guest journey and daily property experience.
  • Support the development of wellness-focused communications, events, and initiatives that elevate brand awareness and engagement.

Community Engagement

  • Foster strong relationships with residents, guests, members, partners, and wellness providers through proactive engagement and relationship management.
  • Participate in wellness activations and events to support program execution, evaluate service quality, and build meaningful relationships with instructors, residents, and guests.
  • Build and nurture a thriving wellness community that reflects AKA's commitment to luxury living, wellbeing, and exceptional hospitality.

      Additional Responsibilities

      Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

       

      Required Skills & Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree in Wellness, Marketing, Business, Hospitality or a related field.
      • 5+ years of experience in related wellness field preferably in luxury hospitality, private clubs, or brand experience environments.
      • Strong understanding of the luxury consumer and the ability to sell aspirational lifestyle experiences.
      • Interest in wellness and the ability to authentically integrate wellness programming into the offerings.
      • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
      • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and revenue targets.
      • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify and execute new business opportunities.

       

      Benefits and Compensation

      • The salary range for this position is $150k - $170k/year.
