We are partnered with a leading organization in the building products and construction materials space that is looking to add a Manager of Corporate Development to its team in Irving, TX. This is a highly visible opportunity to work directly with senior leadership on M&A strategy and execution, evaluate growth opportunities, and help drive the company's acquisition agenda. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the end-to-end M&A process, the ability to analyze opportunities critically, and experience managing multiple active deal processes simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Corporate Development function through the execution of M&A and strategic growth initiatives.
- Lead and manage active acquisition opportunities from initial evaluation through closing.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and industry assessments to identify attractive investment opportunities.
- Develop financial models, valuation analyses, business cases, and executive presentations to support decision-making.
- Partner closely with business leaders and cross-functional teams to cultivate and evaluate strategic opportunities.
- Analyze financial statements, operational performance, and long-range business plans to assess potential targets.
- Create and communicate compelling investment theses by synthesizing quantitative and qualitative data into actionable recommendations.
- Manage due diligence processes and coordinate with internal stakeholders, external advisors, and target companies.
- Support post-transaction planning and integration efforts as needed.
- Stay informed on market trends, industry developments, and competitive dynamics to help shape corporate strategy.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, management consulting, corporate strategy, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the M&A lifecycle, including valuation, due diligence, negotiation, and transaction execution.
- Demonstrated experience conducting market research and developing strategic insights to support business decisions.
- Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and financial statement analysis skills.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and experience building detailed financial and operational models.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information to executive stakeholders.
- Proven project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong intellectual curiosity and passion for corporate strategy and M&A.

- Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed.
