Manager - Renewables and Utilities Investments, Strategy & M&A

We are seeking a highly analytical finance professional to support investment evaluation, strategic planning, and capital allocation initiatives within a rapidly growing infrastructure-focused organization. This role offers exposure to complex project development, corporate finance activities, transaction analysis, and executive-level decision-making.
The ideal candidate combines strong financial modeling expertise with intellectual curiosity, commercial awareness, and the ability to collaborate across multiple business functions.
What You'll Do
Financial Analysis & Modeling
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models to assess project economics, investment performance, and long-term value creation.
- Analyze a range of commercial structures and revenue scenarios, including sensitivity and scenario analyses.
- Support investment underwriting activities through valuation, return analysis, and financial forecasting.
- Maintain and enhance enterprise-level financial models used for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
Corporate Planning & Capital Strategy
- Partner with business leaders to prepare project budgets and financial forecasts.
- Consolidate operating and capital plans across multiple initiatives to support corporate decision-making.
- Evaluate financing alternatives and capital structures to support growth objectives and investment strategies.
- Assist in developing long-range business plans and capital deployment recommendations.
Investments & Transaction Support
- Perform financial and commercial due diligence for potential acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic investments.
- Conduct market research, competitive benchmarking, and industry analysis to support investment decisions.
- Assist with transaction structuring, valuation assessments, and investment committee materials.
- Prepare presentations, analyses, and recommendations for senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Commercial & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Support commercial negotiations through financial analysis and scenario evaluation.
- Collaborate closely with teams spanning development, engineering, commercial operations, legal, accounting, environmental, regulatory, and external advisory functions.
- Monitor evolving market conditions, regulatory developments, and industry trends to identify opportunities and potential risks.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
3-7 years of professional experience in one or more of the following:
Investment Banking
Infrastructure Investing
Private Equity
Corporate Finance
Project Finance
Energy Finance
Strategic Finance or Corporate Development
Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills.
Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality work.
Strong written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred
- Experience evaluating infrastructure, energy, utilities, transportation, or other capital-intensive assets.
- Familiarity with project finance structures and complex investment transactions.
- Experience supporting acquisition, financing, or development opportunities.
- Interest in emerging energy, power, grid modernization, or large-scale infrastructure sectors.
