About the Role:
Oxford Industries, Inc. (OXM) is a leading apparel design, marketing and retailing company whose brands include Tommy Bahama, Lilly Pulitzer, Johnny Was, Southern Tide, The Beaufort Bonnet Company, Duck Head and Jack Rogers. We are seeking a smart, energetic, business-minded attorney who would thrive as a legal "generalist" in a small legal department and fast-paced business environment. While this role encompasses broad legal support across the organization, there will be particular emphasis on commercial contracting, technology, marketing, and privacy compliance that are essential to our business operations. This role would interact directly with the Company's business clients on a routine basis.
This position is hybrid and will work in our Atlanta office 60% of the week.
Qualifications, Skills and Other Attributes:
J.D. from top law school with strong academic credentials
4+ years' experience (law firm experience required; in-house experience a plus but not a prerequisite)
An attorney with strong transactional experience may be a good fit. Experience in one or more of the following practice areas would be a plus:
General commercial contracts
Privacy compliance
Ecommerce/technology/digital with an emphasis on marketing technology
Retailing/consumer law
Intellectual property (trademarks, copyrights and/or licensing)
Real estate/leasing
Litigation and dispute resolution
Mergers and Acquisitions
Strong oral and written communication skills
Highly analytical; excellent problem-solving skills
Detail oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and work well under pressure
Good commercial judgment
Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal effectively with all levels of employees and management
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Maturity, initiative, energy, adaptability, and a strong desire to learn the business
