Amazon Health Services Legal is seeking an experienced attorney to serve as legal counsel supporting Health AI products and services. This role will provide strategic legal guidance on the development, deployment, and scaling of AI/ML technologies within Amazon"s health businesses, including One Medical and Amazon Pharmacy.

You will need to combine deep artificial intelligence and emerging technology with a passion for reinventing healthcare. You will operate at the intersection of innovation and compliance, enabling teams to move fast while maintaining compliance in one of the most highly regulated industries.

Key job responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day legal support for Health AI and other AI-related clinical and product efforts.
  • Counsel on data use, treatment, and compliance obligations
  • Develop and implement responsible AI governance frameworks
  • Partner with product, engineering, and clinical teams throughout the product lifecycle
  • Monitor and advise on evolving AI legislation (state and federal) and industry standards (e.g., NIST, ONC rules), helping to develop AI policy for healthcare in the US
