    Corporate Attorney
    Location: Adairsville, GA
    Employment Type: Direct Hire
    Our Legal Recruiting team is assisting a client with the search for a Corporate Attorney to support the General Counsel and the organizations business operations. This position will provide legal support across corporate, regulatory, compliance, intellectual property, contracts, and related matters.
    Responsibilities
    • Work directly with General Counsel to address legal goals and priorities and evaluate company legal exposure to national and international laws.
    • Assist with intellectual property and brand management activities.
    • Assist with administration and maintenance of corporate records.
    • Monitor and assist with updating company practices based on developments in domestic and international laws.
    • Support regulatory compliance involving lithium ion batteries, controllers, motors, charging systems, and vehicle integration.
    • Support evaluation of products and equipment for compliance with applicable regulations in the US, Canada, and Europe.
    • Research and evaluate mandatory regulations and voluntary standards involving product safety, structural integrity, braking, EMC, stability, labeling, warnings, and functional safety.
    • Research regulations involving cybersecurity, vehicle autonomy, service accessibility, and telematics.
    • Assist with evaluation plans involving internal business teams and external testing laboratories.
    • Research current and emerging worldwide engine standards and coordinate with business units and product development teams.
    • Coordinate with engineering departments and regulatory authorities regarding certification of new technologies.
    • Prepare regulatory summaries and assist with training for management and staff.
    • Assist with dealer terminations and repurchase obligations.
    • Assist with export control administration.
    • Assist with contracts management.
    • Assist with conflict minerals reporting.
    • Coordinate assigned projects across relevant business entities.
    • Assist with maintenance of policies and procedures.
    Qualifications
    • Juris Doctor Degree.
    • 2 to 3 years of experience practicing corporate law in a law firm or corporate setting.
    • Strong business acumen with excellent planning and organizational skills.
    • Strong communication, analytical, negotiation, and project management skills.
    • Ability to exercise initiative, sound judgment, and discretion.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the business management side of the legal function.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
    • Familiarity with applicable product and component regulations and standards, including OSHA, ANSI, SAE, UL, IEC, and ISO.
    • Experience with vehicle or equipment powertrains, component specifications, and selection is beneficial.
    •  Experience working with UL, CSA, Intertek, and FCC is preferred.
    • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
    This is a full time, direct hire opportunity based in Adairsville, GA.
