Long Island, NY | $145K–$185K + Bonus

A sophisticated full-service New York law firm is seeking a Corporate Associate with 3+ years of experience to join a highly regarded Corporate & Securities practice.

This is a strong opportunity for an attorney who wants to continue handling meaningful middle-market transactions and sophisticated corporate matters while gaining greater client exposure, responsibility, and long-term growth potential.

The Work

The associate will advise privately held and other business clients across a broad range of corporate matters, including:

Mergers & acquisitions
Venture capital transactions
Equity and debt financings
Private placements
Securities law matters
Corporate formations and restructurings
Governance and general corporate counseling
Drafting and negotiating transaction documents
Commercial agreements
Due diligence and transaction management

The practice takes a business-oriented, interdisciplinary approach and gives associates exposure to clients across a variety of industries.

Base Salary: $145,000–$185,000

Final compensation will depend on experience, transaction background, credentials, and overall fit.

Job Details

Ideal Background
3+ years of substantive corporate experience
Meaningful M&A experience required
Exposure to securities law and general corporate matters
Experience with venture capital, financings, or private placements is highly desirable
Ability to independently draft and negotiate transaction documents
Strong academic performance; high class rank is a plus
Excellent writing, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Commercial mindset and ability to work directly with clients
New York Bar admission required
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
