Position Overview
The Corporate Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing the month-end close process, strengthening internal controls, and driving continuous process improvements. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting leader with both public accounting and industry experience who thrives in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process

Oversee the general ledger and ensure accurate financial reporting

Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules

Drive accounting process improvements and strengthen internal controls

Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff

Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies

Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

Coordinate external audits and work with outside auditors

Improve accounting systems, workflows, and operational efficiencies

Support strategic finance initiatives and special projects
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA strongly preferred

5–10 years of progressive accounting experience

Public accounting experience combined with private industry experience highly preferred

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting

Experience leading accounting teams and improving financial processes

Experience in multi-location or multi-site organizations is highly preferred

Backgrounds in retail, manufacturing, distribution, staffing, consumer services, or similar industries are a plus

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Compensation & Benefits
Salary:$125,000–$135,000
