Job Summary/Company:
Sparks Group is seeking a Core Network Engineer III for a remote, direct hire opportunity supporting enterprise and service provider networks within a Managed Services Center. This client-facing role provides advanced troubleshooting, implementation, and ongoing network support. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–3:00 PM EST, with participation in an after-hours on-call rotation. Base salary ranges from $110,000–$150,000 annually.
*PLEASE NOTE* A current CCNP-SP (Service Provider) Certification is REQUIRED to be considered for this role.
Responsibilities:
Provide advanced network and systems support, troubleshooting complex issues and owning incidents from initial diagnosis through resolution.
Implement and support network infrastructure, maintain accurate ticket documentation, and communicate updates clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.
Lead assigned technical projects, collaborate with engineering teams, and participate in an on-call rotation to support ongoing network operations.
Qualifications:
Active Cisco CCNP Service Provider certification and 5+ years of service provider networking experience, including strong optics knowledge and complex network troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with Cisco NCS, Nexus, ASR 1K and ASR 9K equipment, along with Nokia and Juniper service provider platforms.
Strong knowledge of VRF, IS-IS, OSPF, BGP and MPLS; familiarity with SD-WAN, cloud networking, network security, and IT service management tools. ServiceNow experience preferred.

This job is Fully Remote.
Pay Range: Salary $120,000.00 to $150,000.00
