Houston Methodist The Woodlands is seeking a board-certified Internal Medicine physician to supervise Internal Medicine residents and serve as Core Faculty for the Internal Medicine residency program. This is a clinical faculty position with a strong focus on academic responsibilities. Responsibilities include:
The ideal candidate will have proficiency in teaching and precepting residents, a minimum of three years of experience in graduate medical education, and skills in research or quality improvement focused in ambulatory care & hospital settings. The ideal candidate will bring demonstrated leadership in GME, including residency program administration, curriculum development, and resident mentorship. A strong track record in teaching within an ambulatory care setting, along with a passion for shaping the culture and growth of a residency program. Support and infrastructure are available for scholarly activity, including quality improvement initiatives, research collaboration, and national presentations. Qualifications include current certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine and eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in the state of Texas.
The core faculty will also be provided academic titles with our Houston Methodist Academic Institute and our Medical School affiliates such as Weill Cornell Medical College and/or Texas A & M College of Medicine. Ultimate title of Assistant/Associate/Full Clinical Professor is commensurate with experience.
