The Publishing Services Department Print Editing team is responsible for helping to create and refine Church messaging and communications to audiences throughout the world. This team works with various Church departments to prepare documents and products for publication.
As part of the Print Editing team, the intern will work closely with the team's supervisor to copyedit and proofread a wide range of materials, including, but not limited to, the following:

PSD Print Editing copyeditor interns work up to 30 hours a week on a hybrid schedule of one day in the office (Monday) and four days remotely. Interns should be curious to learn and eager to contribute. Print Editing projects are small to medium in size and scope, and they have quick turnaround times with tight deadlines. Interns should be adept at handling multiple projects simultaneously and working in a fast environment.
Applicants for this internship must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college or university, or they must have recently finished a degree from an accredited college or university (within one year of beginning their internship). Applicants must also be available for video and in-person interviews.
Applicants who are working toward an editing major or minor, or taking classes with an editing/writing emphasis, are preferred. Those who are graduated will be given higher priority.
Other qualifications include the following:
At least four semesters of college-level editing or writing experience outside of classroom work, such as for a literary journal, in a writing lab, on a newspaper staff, or as a professor's assistant
Proficient revising, copyediting, and proofreading skills
A strong background in copyediting
Sound understanding of Church doctrine, history, organization, and policy
The ability to manage many projects simultaneously
The ability to give careful attention to detail, sustain concentration for long periods of time, and maintain the highest level of accuracy
The ability to work well with people, including writers, project managers, and employees in different departments, and present an image of professionalism
Must hold a current temple recommend
