Core Roles and Responsibilities
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
Provide assistance with transfers and ambulation using proper safety techniques
Support residents with meals, including setup, feeding assistance as needed, and monitoring intake
Observe and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to nursing or supervisory staff
Respond promptly to resident call lights and requests
Documentation & Communication
Accurately document care services provided
Communicate effectively with residents, and team members
Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines
Preferred
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Previous experience in assisted living, long-term care, or home health
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and assist with resident transfers
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
