    The Copy Editor is responsible for ensuring every piece of marketing content published by Keller Williams meets the highest standards of quality, accuracy, consistency, and brand voice by utilizing subject matter expertise to develop and execute quality control plans.     • Proofreads and copy edits marketing materials across digital, print, email, web, social media, video, presentations, advertising, and event collateral.
    • Ensures consistency with Keller Williams brand standards, style guides, voice, tone, and messaging.
    • Corrects grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, formatting, capitalization, and typographical errors.
    • Analyzes and evaluates content for clarity, readability, consistency, and overall quality before publication.
    • Verifies names, dates, numbers, links, product names, and factual information for accuracy.
    • Partners closely with copywriters, designers, marketers, producers, and project managers to deliver high-quality work on deadline.
    • Develops, implements, and maintains editorial standards, style guides, proofreading checklists, and best practices.
    • Manages and prioritizes multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight production timelines.
    • Analyzes and identifies opportunities to improve editorial workflows and quality assurance processes across the marketing organization.

    Additional Functions May Include:

    • Executes quality assurance (QA) testing on digital marketing deliverables, including webpages, emails, landing pages, forms, and marketing assets before launch.
    • Validates links, formatting, functionality, responsive layouts, and overall user experience prior to publication.
    • Develops QA checklists and documentation to improve launch quality and reduce production errors.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field, or four (4) years of relevant education and work experience substituted for degree
    • Minimum of three (3) years of specialized professional copy editing, proofreading, or editorial experience within an agency, corporate marketing, publishing, or communications environment
    • In-depth expertise in editing a wide variety of marketing and business communications.
    • Deep knowledge and exceptional command of English grammar, punctuation, spelling, and AP Style (or equivalent editorial standards)
    • Polished and professional demeanor
    • Well versed in industry developments, techniques, and trends

    Preferred Requirements

    • Experience supporting high-volume marketing organizations.
    • Experience proofreading digital marketing campaigns, websites, email marketing, presentations, and social media content.
    • Familiarity with editorial workflow tools and content management systems.
    • Experience performing digital QA or website quality assurance is a plus.
    • Experience working alongside creative, brand, and marketing teams.
