    Build Thermal Systems That Don’t Leak—Ever

    If precision flame control, clean fillets, and bulletproof pressure tests are your thing, this role is for you. You’ll perform manual brazing and soldering on copper and aluminum parts used in heat exchangers, condensers, and evaporators—delivering repeatable, spec‑compliant joints every time.

    What You’ll Tackle

    • Pre‑assembly: stage and fit tubes, headers, return bends, distributors, and fittings to match drawings and work orders.
    • Process execution: braze/solder with oxy‑acetylene or induction equipment per documented methods and standards.
    • Metallurgical control: manage flame profile, heat input, and filler application to avoid oxidation and overheating.
    • Joint prep: clean, align, and apply flux for optimal capillary action.
    • Verification: perform visual checks and pressure/leak testing; rework as needed to spec.
    • Equipment care: replace tips, clean nozzles, and verify gas pressures daily.
    • Documentation: log joint counts, repairs, and test outcomes in ERP or production records.
    • Material handling: safely manage copper tubing, nitrogen, flux, and gases.
    • Safety & culture: follow hot‑work procedures; contribute ideas to quality, safety, and efficiency improvements.
    • Collaboration: help train new team members; escalate equipment or material issues promptly.

    What You’ll Need to Succeed

    • Hands‑on mastery with oxy‑acetylene torch operation, flame tuning, and filler technique.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
    • Fine motor skills and dexterity for tight‑tolerance joints.
    • Comfort with measurement tools (tape, calipers, gauges, pressure meters).
    • Diagnostic ability to spot poor wetting or overheating and correct immediately.
    • Know‑how in torch upkeep, safe cylinder handling, and regulator settings.
    • Quality focus—consistent appearance and integrity with minimal rework.
    • Safety mindset for hot work, open flames, and pressurized gases.
    • Positive, team‑first attitude with interest in cross‑training and Kaizen‑style improvement.

    Preferred: High school diploma or GED; 3–6 months of relevant experience or training.

    Where and How You’ll Work

    • 8+ hours on your feet with frequent walking.
    • Reaching, sitting, stooping, and other repetitive motions.
    • Lift/handle 20–50 lbs multiple times per shift.
    • Extended hours and occasional overtime to support production demands.
    • Environment may include loud noise, vibration, and temperature swings.
    • Work adjacent to moving mechanical equipment.

    PPE: Gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, and hard hats are required and provided by the company.
