Broad Function
Responsible for coordinating technology accommodations/testing for students with disabilities pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, the ADA Amendment Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and any other federal or state law that may apply. The position performs these functions in collaboration with Accessibility Services and reports to the Director of Accessibility Services.
Major Responsibilities
Coordinate testing accommodations for students with disabilities. Work with faculty and students to support using assistive technologies, implementing digital accessibility and ensuring classroom accessibility.
Required Skills
Must have working knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to serving people with disabilities in a postsecondary education setting, including Section 504/ADA and experience with digital accessibility. Must possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Strong computer skills for using Microsoft Word, Excel and ability to learn new software. Ability to prioritize workload according to volume, urgency, etc. Ability to work comfortably with individuals with apparent and non-apparent disabilities.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Social Work, or related field required. (Master's degree preferred).
Years of Experience
3-5 years of experience working in a capacity in disability services. Must have interest in and working knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to serving people with disabilities in a postsecondary education setting, including Section 504/ADA.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Office environment. Occasional lifting of 5lb-10lbs.

Salary Range
$29.04- $32.67 per hour
The selected candidate's salary will be determined based on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate's qualifications, experience, education and other job-related credentials. This hiring range is provided as SUNY Adirondack's good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting.
