The Logistics Coordinator is a self-starter with strong organizational, analytical, communication, interpersonal, and computer skills. Working in a fast-paced, customer and employee-oriented environment, this role is responsible for managing the transactions involved in the movement, tracking, reporting, and storage of railcars.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain files and records related to railcar movements.
- Manage customer and employee inquiries in a courteous, timely, and professional manner.
- Prepare and distribute daily reports on yard inventory, railcar loading activity, and inbound/outbound traffic.
- Prepare and distribute key performance indicator (KPI) reports.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to Planning Supervisors.
- Complete month-end procedures, including operational estimates for car switching, storage, revenues, and expenses.
- Participate in on-site and off-site customer meetings and engagements.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with managers, employees, customers, and stakeholders regarding routine and sensitive matters.
- Work independently while demonstrating initiative, innovation, sound judgment, and strategic thinking.
- Gather, analyze, and interpret information to identify essential business needs.
- Prioritize workload effectively while managing multiple projects and conflicting deadlines.
- Demonstrate proficiency with office software, spreadsheets, databases, and general accounting practices.
- Possess knowledge of railcar movements and accounting procedures within a rail environment.
Education & Experience
- Post-secondary certification in Office Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is considered an asset.
- 2–5 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Rail, Refinery or a similar industry.
- Experience with rail industry car inventory management systems is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Excellent communication skills.
