Position Summary:
The Desktop Support Printer Coordinator is a member of the healthcare IT support team and serves as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and third-party printer vendors, service providers, and end users.
Note: The term "printer" in this role includes stand-alone printers, copiers, and multifunction devices (MFDs) with scanning and related capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate and track printer leasing across the organization
Works with print services partner
Oversees print service delivery
Work with internal Information Technology teams on the setup, configurations, and security of devices
Coordinator of print services delivery of customer needs
Coordinator of solution administrator of managed print solution
Reduce printing costs and create efficiencies
Managing Oracle Health print queues
Conduct site surveys for new printer installations and relocations
Maintain and manage printer fleet inventory and drivers
Develop, document, and enforce printer standards and procedures
Provide training to staff on printer usage and best practices
Configure and adjust printer settings as needed
Respond to printer-related incidents and service requests
Act as the primary escalation point for printer service issues
Travel to various sites as required
Perform other duties as assigned
Position Qualification:
Preferred Qualifications
CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+
Experience in healthcare IT, printer fleet management, or project coordination
Associates degree in related Information Technology field, Mathematics, or related field
3-5 years experience in Desktop Support or a related Information Technology field
Required Qualifications
In-depth knowledge of printer functionality, including networking and scanning
Valid driver's license with the ability to operate company vehicles
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with management, end users, and third-party vendors
Ability to lift, push, and pull printer equipment
Manual dexterity to handle small components and parts
