Position Summary:
As part of the UTMC Stroke Team, works with Stroke Center manager to coordinate Stroke Center activities to assure continuity of care of the patient who has sustained a stroke. Areas of responsibility include development and provision of stroke focused training for regional prehospital providers; emergency department team members at UTMC and at referring facilities; and the East Tennessee community served by UT Medical Center. Coordinator will work with regional prehospital and referring facility providers to improve patient outcomes by continuous process review and improvement. Coordinator will support the clinical Stroke Center Team as needed.
Position Qualification:
Years of Experience can be related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licensure, Certification, Registration
- Registered Nurse, Emergency Medical Professional, or related Medical experience.
